A magazine for the Torino Film Festival

The Italian association Franti coordinates the realization of the bi-lingual magazine “Nisimazine”, which follows the Torino Film Festival from the 23rd November to the 1st of December.

The magazine covers the whole festival and it will be out every two days, for a total of four numbers. The Torino Film Festival, which celebrates this year its 25th birthday and which has a new, special director as the acclaimed Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti, has grown to become the third most important Italian film festival (with Venice and Rome).

The editorial staff is composed by young film critics from all over Europe who follow the events day by day, giving life to a unique magazine entirely written in English and Italian and distributed to the spectators for free: visions and words of a festival from truly international and diversificated point of views.

The project is not new to the world of film critics anyway, as there have been two previous editions of the magazine, both during the festival of Cannes, and it will also be realized in Helsinki in January 2008, during the documentary festival Docpoint.
The magazine is also a unique opportunity for young European film critics to work together and to reflect upon the meaning of this peculiar form of journalism: that’s why the meeting has also scheduled a conference entitled “Festivals are changing: a new deal for film journalism?”
